So, basically, a gay person is guilt-tripped into feeling so guilty about being gay that he becomes abstinent for a while until he realizes that abstinence sucks and, thereby, resumes his gay lifestyle.

Or he seeks out a relationship with a female to prove he isn't gay -- deceiving an innocent woman while living a total lie by having gay hook-ups on the sly.

In both cases -- there really wasn't a conversion to begin with.
