Mario and Sonic are the best around

Ever randomly think of "Karate kid" then realize you can't get the corny song out of your head until you juxtapose sonic and mario clips to it. Me too.

I sometimes get into debates with Sonic fans for fun but everyone knows that Sonic put speed in platformers and that Mario implemented the 2D and 3D gaming archetypes so both characters are revolutionary still I like Mario more probably because he can steal his enemies souls using catch card sp, or that his Star Rod can grant him any wish.

@SuperMariotheKing100 right, but he stole the star rod from Kirby. And the Sonic's new enemy, Eggman Nega does the same thing where he captures people in cards because he is evil. So I guess that means Mario is kind of evil too. (You like debates, I'm giving you what you want.)

@sonictoast Nintendo does that all the time putting things from other of their series in different games e.g. Yoshi doll, Chain Chomps and Twhomps in Zelda, Samus Aran and Link in Mario games, Kirby transforming into a Twhomp or a gold Mario statue, Mario, Luigi, Wario, Birdo and Peach,koopa shells, phanto mask, ? blocks in Kirby games etc., Well sure he is Mario was a villain in some games didn't you know? besides Mario only uses it on enemies not innocents.

@SuperMariotheKing100 yeah, he was a villain in DK Jr., I'm glad he was never a villain again because he was way harder than Bowser has ever been. Yeah, all the cameos and cross contamination in Nintendo games is great. Sega does that too with Sonic and NiGHTS and stuff, but no one seems to care as much because SEGA franchises are less popular.

@glitoast, Dude they are 2 made up characters the two companies named nintendo and sega made up so that people can buy there stuff. so it does not matter who is better and nintendo rocks!!! they made the dsi system,and the wii and other nintendo characters like link, snake roy, ike marth, luigi,diddy kong, and lots of other characters

@lucascouto166 Yeah Sonic is the master of speed and Mario is the master of strength. Sonic uses his speed in fights Mario uses his strength. In a race of course Sonic would win but in a test of strength Mario would win.

@lucascouto166 well shadow will probably be able to keep up because thats how dr.robotnik designed him to be sonics speed and stregnth but i aggree with the other characters because when i first got the game i went to race with sonic (i thought i was gunna dominate)but then i got in like 4th place:(but the game is still fun

@Yoda0099 : I don't think Mario would get stuck at a loop. SMW and SM64 proved he can run up walls, after all.

However, he wouldn't be able to grind.

lol i lost it when i saw mario keeping up with Sonic.

Then again. They all probably had handicaps put on them. Sonic had speed dapeners. Knuckles had strength dampeners. etc.

I lovw both Mario and Sonic. But I like Sonic alot more.

Also a switch worlds idea would never workd for mario and sonic unfortunately.

Mario would prob get stuck at the first loop in Green Hill Zone.

Sonic would get stuck in the later underwater levels.
