vain people in my experience turn out to be insecure

The seven deadly sins were not in the bible. They were created around the 5th century by the catholic church. So what you mean is, Pope Gregory 'nailed the sins'.

Fcuk, i meant i got to second soulshift14, not soundbite.
Well, man IS fallible hahahaahah ;)

I'm afraid i got to second soundbite here, still i hear your soundbites in some songs, like in 'Cubed', so you got a lot of credit.
ah yes, and i am not disappointed, since another thing they 'nailed' was man's 'fallibility; hehehe ;p
The consciousness is a bit weird though, since if someone says 'use your god given brain', then it was not exactly 'given', hehe.

Dude, I get where you're coming from. Hey, did you just smoke a joint before the video? Yeah, self awareness, the tree of knowledge, sins. Why are we so fucking smarter than animals?? Is it just a random freak event? Is it just like this in our own little universe? I dunno. Sagan or somebody wrote that there is something marvelous out there just waiting to be discovered.

Are you serious??? My respect for you as an intellectual just went down a little. No offense, but I'm surprised.

They didn't even get rape or slavery. Big fail on your part imo, im kinda disappointed.

wrath: our biological defense mechanism kicking in, in a world where doesn't need to.
envy: bad for yourself if you get caught up in it i guess, but it can be a motivator for some.
pride: per se, being proud isn't a bad thing, but the way the sinful aspect of it is described, sure it's bad if you have too much of it and ignore the good work of others.
over all, i'd say this is a list of things like many other things, that show us that excess is bad, moderation in most things are good.
I agree with the others here. Sin is non-existent and a concept meant to suppress people against their nature. Pride is not a sin, it is the result of a healthy ego state. Lust is the thing that makes sex possible. Uncontrolled, it can be damaging, but so can almost anything. Gluttony has few redeeming qualities, but it is not a sin. Sloth is good in moderation - we can all use a break from time to time. Anger can be protective as well as destructive. Vanity is just a product of being content.

nailed the sins, i guess, they decided something was a sin, and said that doing "sinful" things was bad.
lust: biological, not sure how that's bad.
gluttony: a bi-product of our survival mechanism if anything i guess, cavemen couldn't be sure if they got food tomorrow, so eat while you can
greed: same deal as gluttony or at least related
sloth: that's bad, but anyone who is "guilty" of it, is more likely to be suffering from depression then anything else
