1960 Debate: JFK vs. Nixon

Clip from the first of four televised debates between Kennedy and Nixon, and the first presidential debate to be televised ever. This debate was seen as a turning point for the campaign. Nixon's sickly appearance (he was recovering from an infection) and his refusal to wear makeup made him appear weak to American viewers, especially next to the younger, tanned Kennedy.

So funny listening to this debate and then seein a modern day debate full of hoots and hollers and stupid ppl applauding for no good reason except then think it is the time for them to clap. Has society just become worse behaving and dumber or is our attention span now only capable of hearing in sound bites?

The controversy surrounding the 2000 election had more to do Al Gore's sour grapes over the fact he lost. If your complaint is about the electoral college system vs a popular election then go back and do your research on why we do things that way.

While you are at it, research the 1960 election before you show your ignorance any further.
