  • God ..,. I thought I was the only one who remembered this band! A friend at uni had their demo tape but we fell out and I never saw the tape again ... does anyone know where I could get a copy?

  • I have a demo tape somewhere I may look it out and pass it on to you when I get time.

  • the guy on the key board is my uncle...how times have changed now hes a high class salesman or sumthing like that lol.

    xxxx

    his names chas btw

  • Do you happen to have his e-mail address the singer Willie Clinton was trying to get in touch with him.

  • @3wyjthftn Do you happen to have his e-mail address or phone number?

  • I'm guessing you posted this video for the Imprints rather than the venue .. but the Kelvingrove Bandstand is in a bit of a state these days. lots of people doin good things to try and sort it out though and it's great to have footage like this to see how great a venue it really was [and hopefully will be again]. Where are the Imprints now? Looked like a great gig ;-)

  • Hi sorry I took so long to reply I recorded this in 1982 as part of the concert that day unfortunately my younger brother wiped the master and this 3rd generation copy is all that I have of it.The other groups that were there that day were The Dolphins ,Shakin Pyramids,Imprints and a few others incidentally I do have a tape of the Imprints set which was broadcast by Radio Clyde and I know the master tapes are still in the vaults for the whole concert that day.

  • knew the lads well..used to play down our way often kirkconnel/sanquhar way back early 80s..dickie whyte (prestige disco) they used to stay over @ willie & liz kyles after the gigs ..always remember allan the drummer sleeping in the kids cot he was that small . alway remember there covers of marthur & the muffins (echo beach) & after the fire (life in the city) what are they up to these days?.. what a band.....

  • a blast fae the past.i have a vague memory they were from croy or kilsyth,i might be wrong though.

  • I met the singer last night at Ricky's Bar and Grill, His name is Billy Clinton and has a Scottish accent. Hes a really funny guy. He told me to listen to this and I love it.

  • I used to go listen to these guys in a pub called the "Dial In" in Glasgow whilst at Strathclyde Uni around '81/'82. Must have been Xmas '81 when there was a great gig that results in T shirts being thrown to audience.

  • The groovy drummer (with the magnificent bouffant hairstyle & the 'John Densmore' jawline ) is obviously one of the famous ' Watsonian Brothers Troupe',

Let's hope he continued with his inate natural ability & didn't fritter his talents away on some predictable 'Is this the next big thing.?'

    NIck Binder.

  • Sent you an email - thanks for that :)
