In Qatar, a tiny and very dry desert country, shoppers in Villagio Shopping Mall travel along canals.

  • qatar has one of the largest economy in the world can build and buy what they want, but the most important things: intelligence, charity, humility, not sold:)

  • You are only answering ONE of my questions. I have visited and lived in Qatar on and of for the past 6 years. I have seen the change that Qatar has made, going from a desert with nothing, to an oasis build on the blood and hard labor of people from south-east Asia. I have all the the right to criticize Qatar because of something called HUMAN RIGHTS! You are making my point, that Qatar would still be a shit state middle of nowhere if it weren't for the foreigners working there. You are ignorant.

  • @Berra0199 If you knew the very small Qatari Community.. You would've understand.. what I'm talking about... Qataris are only 14% of Qatar population nowadays.. the rest are asians and arabs from different countries... and the crime rate has hit the roof in the last 5 years... after the labours numbers has increased... Anyways.. I'm the one who's living the situation and not you.. so you don't have the right to judge something only out of what you read or heard...

Come here then try to judge..

  • @jori333 So what is it that YOU are doing that is sooo fantastic? I want to KNOW what YOU have done to help the poor foreign laborers. So what YOU are stating is that without guest laborers Qatar would not have any crime at all?? Are you seriously making that point? What is Qatar's state budget for education of foreign nationals? Does it even exist! What countries like Qatar does is exploit people in need, nothing else! There is a fine line between exploitation and helping!

  • @Berra0199 Really??? I never knew!!!... Duh..

I'm Qatari so I know what you are talking about... but you should also know what awful, immoral and horrible crimes they do out here...

and to be honest what we are doing is so much better than what westren do... which in NOTHING to these poor countries,,, just after they took advantage of their natural resourses.. they left them withiut a care in the world..

At least what we do.. is helping them feed their families and save them from hunger...

  • @Cluttered5leafs How can the truth be BS???

  • @jori333 You are not a bright one! Actually countries like Qatar, UAE and Saudi Arabia use third world country laborers to build these massive constructions for a fraction of the cost than they would have to pay if they were built in Europe or North America. And working conditions are horrible. Yes, poor people travel to these countries to get work and feed their families, but some Arabs believe that they can treat such people any way they want because they're poor. AND THAT'S WRONG!!!!

  • @kurangpeduli That is so true! I don't live in Qatar, but I visited the country couple of times, and it strikes me how arrogant, rude and obnoxious some arabs can be towards other people. I think Qatar needs to follow Norway as a country. Norway has oil but is also a social welfare state which take care of it's citizens.

  • This kind of singing called Andalusian music ...I know that I answered too late .. But I could not ignore your question:)
