リムスイキンvsルディハルトノ。まさに夢の一戦です。

"unsighted, play a let please"
is that a rare call? i never have heard that call made in my time (present time)

my first racket (in 1993) was a yonex RY-1000. it was probably about 110 grams lol.
in 1995, I got my first one-piece; a yonex carbonex 7 (about 95 g).
in 1997 i got a black knight 760 - Rapier (about 90g) ... then upgraded in '98 to the 780-Ultralight, and broke it and got a 790-ultraflex. i didn't like it, so i went back to head-light rackets.... and in 1999 got 2 carlton aerogear 1000FX (85g). 2003-2007 i used carlton airblades.
i use blacknight C2C nanofires now.

lol i used a carbonex 21

yes!!!
The hardest smash I have ever hit was with a yonex carbonex 8. Even with the technology today, there was something magical about the weight vs balance vs flex of the Cab 8.
I'd never use one in competition again, but I'll never forget that one rocket I hit in a "fun tourney" doubles final with a Cab 8 back in 1998.. musta been 150mph... hit the floor before anyone saw it. totally my most zen moment in my badminton history.. yay Cab 8!

Rudy always seems uncomfortable playing at the far end of London's Royal Albert Hall, the same problem in the 1982 Thomas cup Final against Luan jin in set 1. As for Lsk he was the player to beat at that time, Li Yong Bo was an aspiring singles player at that time and beating LSK was a budding China player's claim to fame at that time.

Rudy was past his prime and King was at his prime. Still that year Rudy would beat King one last time at the World Championship. Two best singles players Indonesia ever produced. Not even Ardie, Alan, or Taufik can compare to them.
