Joy division - Ceremony

I saw that vodka commercial and i proved to my bf that they are kinda famous. and that other bands also played their songs. lol.
Now that i think about it im a little upset that it was on a vodka commercial.

After 1980 the industry was completely engulfed by corporations interested only in appealing to the dimwitted masses. Nothing followed but fake, redundant, watered-down, cheap regurgitation of music from a grand era.

fuck New Order for selling the song rights to a fucking Vodka brand

100 percent agreed, i was so sad when i saw it was on an effing vodka commercial

to me this song was associated with something special, few unique moments but not its more associated with some shit vodka because of the times I saw it. I muted it but it was too late

I don't believe New Order owns the rights to Joy Divisions music..or their own for that matter. I believe it is joint owned my BMG Sony.

Haha! They certainly weren't the worst band of the 90's. Far from it in fact but (and I think this is the issue with all supergroups) the whole was lesser than the sum of its parts. And of course there was no Peter Hook. You just gotta have some Peter Hook or it aint right man!

Yeah but the Barney guy from Joy Division has brown hair whilst Barney of New Order has blond hair.
