Very amazing!This piece is beautiful and nice, also good as teh prelude.You play excelent, very fast.5 stars, Rachmaninov is one of my favourites.

I like very much the youth works of him, are mature and expressive.

I enjoyed your playing very! much - one of my favorite recordings of this piece too. I shall be playing this... goodness knows how long it will take me to learn it! I am apparently 'capable' but I am unsure! Well done to you.

woow very clean and very good technique. a bit too fast and should add more dynamic contrast. the way you perform - your expression, body movements - seems very effortless, which is really good because this is a veeery difficult piece.

@Musicbiz1 it's a valid critique. at the end of the day I like to decide if I enjoyed it for what it was without comparing it to other performances. I came away thinking it's pretty music. I was entertained. I felt the performing artist conveyed some emotion. Is there historical reference for perhaps a different performance approach? Absolutely but I'm not performing the work and I don't know why the pianist played it that fast. But I still liked it. Thanks for the reply though.

@cem1891 Rachmaninov didn't even play it this fast, especially in the first few bars. This just sounds very rushed to me, and it lacks musical expression. I know that the piece is open to interpretation, but the composer's intent seems important to me when I'm performing a piece. Listen to other recordings of this piece. I think you will find that some of the greatest concert pianists took more time in some sections of this piece. I'm not the first person to comment negatively.

@Musicbiz1 perhaps allegro vivace doesn't mean what I thought it meant then. Last I checked the tempo suggested something on the quick side of lively/spirited...

Totalement rien d'intéressant... c'est beau aux yeux, mais ne sera jamais beau aux oreilles... juste entendre le début, j'en supose déja que Rachmaninov doit pleurer comme a sa 1ere symphonie dirigé par Glazounov...
