This is no doubt a high alpa flight - Alpha is flight angle and not wing angle - obviously the big flat bit is useless when not pointing into the wind and parallel to the ground. This is good work Danny

Nice work, my Yak 54 does pretty nice knife edge too, but it tends to pitch the nose down. Any tips would be appreciated.

there is no high alpha in this vid. a high alpha is when a aircraft is at a high angle and level. no rudder is in it. this is just a knifedge pass. :P

I guess you don't know what high alpha is then. High alpha is when the plane is at a high angle of attack and the only thing keeping the plane from stalling is power and a lot of control input. The plane should be moving slow and straight and level. I was doing this with 1/4 throttle or less. I would love to see you do a high alpha knife edge pass at 1/4 throttle with no rudder input. If you can do that then you are the best.
