They want you to use less so they can charge more.For example if cars got 200mpg gas would cost $600 a gallon.

Hahahaha, this is such propaganda. They give i think less than 1% of their profits towards renewable energy. They are the guys who are making off with billions of dollars thanks to Bush. These guys are criminals.

i'm greatly skeptical of the motives of huge corporations, but if there's anything to like about these commercials, it's that they cast a highly favorable light on science and engineering.
and as a senior/grad student in engineering, my guess is that the equations flying around aren't those solved by some genius PhDs, but in fact equations undergraduate engineers should at least be expected to interpret. this is (some of) what engineers do, and the world *should* have more exposure to it.

the U.S. military already has a vehicle that runs on water.. it's a hybrid fuel/water .. just in case soldiers should run out of fuel.. and tell me this, why are oil prices up after the U.S. invaded Iraq.. and control a vast resource in that region ??? answer: prices are up so they earn more money. Free energy is the answer we need and the the fact that it's free is the real problem "they" (the oil industry/energy industry) face.. point blank, they are a business you are the consumer..

Of course it is. They probably spent more ad than on renewable energy in the past decade. These guys can get away with this, because they're above the law. Someday though I hope to see every corporation raised to the ground. In flames.

what a crock. they couldn't give less of a shit about the environment. they FOUGHT hybrids and continue to fight alternatives and lobby to drill everywhere, even ANWR.
but then they change their tune for that camera. "oh we care so much, we wanna help the planet yada yada"
