All of I hope for this X rebirth is that they dont dumb down the game, and finally design a better interface for all commands and get rid of all the menus and sub menus that didnt reflect the awesome work they put into creating this universe. The game is not really difficult but many players simply quit because the 'difficulty' in X3 is solely based on wether or not you'll find the right paths of commands in the clusterfuck that is the interface.

Well I misunderstood then, English is not my native language, soz! And yeah, if it gets too long, they will need to rework it to newer standards... I really hope it gets out this autumn, as they lately said. That would be nice

Exactly... I remember how I was thinking hours about the idea of 2 different menus if you press Enter or NumEnter in X3 Reunion, still didn't find a good reason for there being 2 differently looking menus with exactly the same functions. I started on X2 and it was great because there was actually a proper tutorial (haven't played X3TC yet), which learned me a lot, and everything from them was easy. In Reunion there is no tutorial, only shitty tips. The game just spews you into a universe...

But I am talking about how buggy this game will be if they release it too soon. The X series had started even longer ago than 12 years, but Rebirth uses a brand new engine, they're just making it from scratch and that takes some more time. But from the development videos you can clearly tell even now that this is surely gonna end more than well, not like DNF or BF3.

Just take a look at the awesome cockpit, amazing AI, stars actually shining, ship engines finally turning off...

i didnt need a tutorial as i started playing x since x2 and it was sooo funny figuring out "WHAT THE FUCK AM I MEANT TO DO?? HOW DO I MAKE MOONEY?" i actually didnt know x series game economy was so deep that you could make a profit, i was 8 XD

i liked the tutorial from old games - drop u in space with a fuckload of menu's to sort through not knowing what the fuck you supposed to do xD

Of course, but the expectation of this game is a good start and good news for Egosoft. If they success in make their game more user friendly without losing his identity and his strong points, it will have the success that it deserves. Sorry for my english.
