in the de facto meaning of the term "anarchy" you are wrong.

i think you mean "chaos" or perhaps "ochlarchy."

Anarchy can be synonymous with the word "chaos" so long as you are not talking about the political meaning, which I was not.

I can already see that you do not know what you are talking about. Jesus is simply saying, rid any stumbling blocks. He speaks figuratively in this way plenty of times throughout the gospels. If you also hold to a doctrine of scriptural inerrancy, the Bible would condemn cutting off your limbs for any reason. Gouging your eyeballs out, I really don't know where you got that. Tell me. Stoning your children... not really. If you are saying that Jesus approves of the Hebrew scriptures then yes he

alright tell me this. was the creation story figurative or literal? how do you know? what about the story where jesus is taken to a mountain top by god and sees the entire world, which is physically impossible considering it is round. and what about hell? is hell a real place or a figurative one? how do you know when he's talking figuratively and when he's talking literally?

There are rules of interpretation. The creation account is written as a historical account. The temptation where Satan shows him the kingdoms is obviously not talking about a concrete visual presentation and it can at least be said that hell is a real place. The nature of hell however is a much more complicated dispute. The rules of interpretation are as follows: inference, unity, precedent, logic, historical background, context, usage and definition.

But in order to use those rules of interpretation, you must have a sound theological construct beforehand.

did. This doesn't mean that Christ is saying that he wants to institute a Judeo Christian empire where Mosaic law is made equivalent to common law of all. He simply did not do that and anyone who studies scripture systematically can see that. You need to realize that ancient scriptures are deeper than you realize, and you are coming off as foolish to me when you say these things. Same goes for a Christian who thinks that they can bash the Quran because of a few verses. Its simply not that easy.

If I believed the OT acts to be despicable, I would be calling God despicable. No I am not cherry picking. And many acts performed by God in the old covenant have no humans involved. Again to call these acts atrocities is to misunderstand the nature of man's sinfulness and God's right to take the lives of sinners. Only a good God would punish evil.

The Quran makes universal commands to slay unbelievers. The book also justifies lying in the name of Islam.
