Theres no doubt that Carrie Anne was a great single but it also had a killer B.side,Have a listen and see if you agree. If anyone objects to the music or images in my videos please let me know and i will remove them.
I think the Everly Brothers version was better on the Two Yanks in England LP. I remember first hearing it on the radio in Buffalo, New York. The DJ at WKBW radio said "Thats from a new album by the Everly Brothers. I think you'll like it." I love the album. Other exceptional songs on the LP were "The Collector" and "Hard, Hard Year." Along with some others the Hollies did a great job backing up the brothers on this LP.
This song was also recorded by the Everly Brothers on their 2 Yanks In England album, with the Hollies providing the musical back-up. Probably the best song on that album. Love the harmony on both versions.
I sang this song in Kintergarden for the class in 1979. My Mom had this single. All the other kids were singin nursery rhymes, I was singin whatever was in my Moms records. I about freaked them out when I did eric burdons Sky Pilot, complete with sound effects and all. lol. It was quiet and I think I scared a few parents too.
Thanks for posting this gem , If you like Hollies B-Sides buy a great CD called "The Other Side Of The Hollies" . I know Jim was wondering if it was on an album. This song is included on the set.

The first record I ever bought, with my pocket money.. I always preferred this to the A side. It's nice to hear it again.
