An excerpt from my presentation at Transfer Summit 2011, where I talked about the phenomenal collapse in the number of open mobile platforms over the last year.

I stretched the definition of 'open' to include WebOS (given the linux underpinnings and openness of the platform) and to include WAC as it was a mobile initiative loosely based on open standards (e.g. W3C widgets).
