Bruce Lee was not a master, he was THE MASTER. Nobody like him, he found the weak points in all traditional styles/disciplines.

You can not compare Bruce Lee ( Jun Fan ) to other modern fighters.

Bruce Lee developed his own concept, taken from many different cultures and fighin styles. Jeet kune do is his development and as far as i know, there is none other acting fighter who did so.

Its your opinion what u think of Bruce, but dont loose respect from a dead LEGEND.

I am sitting here looking at the people commenting on BL not being a real MA and then they talk about how these other well known people trained him and he put together JKD from it. The funny thing is is that all the people they are using as examples have been known(documented mind you) that pound for pound BL was the tuffest man on the planet. GeLebell, Chuck Norris and Rhee, not to include many others. Read there books they all have said that he was the Greatest Martial Artist ever. Period

You all need to consult with John saxon about all the challenges he recieved just while making enter the dragon. It was the old west all over again. This man fought often in hong kong growing up. later he analized all styles of fighting. He was well versed in 26 different kung fu styles alone. The crane form he does in his screen test is the fastest I have ever seen that form done and white crane is my style. Jackie chan said he was so fast you could not catch his movement.

@martinez418 I think Ip Mann is more the essence of a fighter than Bruce Lee. That guy was documented as being the best at his style (wing chun) and made a name pitting himself against other style masters. Miamoto Musashi, Mas Oyama, Royce Gracie and Brock Lesnar would also get that tag from me, who didn't laugh when the pro wrestler decided to try UFC? Lesnar did himself proud.

@baskyn544 His friends exactly, this information is all base on hearsay; not true events from the people that where there to see it. BL allege fights are all from family and friends that heard it from others basing this facts as hearsay and conflict of interest, not real documented resources. BL had no fights but allege one's; who here hasn't had a fight as a teen? i have, i bet many others too; does that make us street fighters sir? BL never prove he was good to begin with, FACT!.

I've also mention this to many Bruce Lee fans and yet they cant understand that simple concept. 2 fights Bruce had as a teen in some roof and on the street and now many beleive BL is a MA's god & a street fighter? how sad. BL learned from Labelle, Rhee, Norris and many other MA's at the time and placed it into writing and called it JKD; now people think he was unstoppable; how gullible,lol. BL never fought to prove he was good.
