cold tires suck... if u hadnt let off the throttle it might have corrected itself, if not u would have lowsided instead. but thats easier said than done right:)

Exactly. I kept it open once the slide started but soon found myself (what felt like) quite sideways, it was then that I bottled it and closed the throttle...
Afterwards I thought I should have just kept it open, but like you say easier said then done.

Yup, combination of cold tyres and too much throttle. The bike didn't come off too bad, gave me good reason to rebuild it. I'll put up a vid of what it looks like now at some stage.

Worse for the bike than me. Gave me an excuse to build a Lucky Strike RGV500 rep! I walked away with bruising and a headache.
