Contractor structure protection crews (FIRESTORM ENTERPRISES LTD. & Quintech) working for the British Columbia Office of the Fire Commissioner under the Ministry of Forests in 2004 on the Lonesome Lake Fire @ Crazy Bear Lake Lodge.

I chose the island for my crew as our safety zone with the best view in the house. The boats and lake were the additional stand by escape routes to re-positioned heli spots and safety zones if necessary.

Sprinklers were set up for structure protection and all 12 cabins and outbuildings located at the edge of the lake were saved.

( I also believe the Santa Fe Hotshots were located nearby but my apologies if I have the wrong name from an ever growing bad memory)
