UPDATE She Lied Doctor Says No Fracture Guard Cleared

15 year old Pleajhai Mervin said she had her arm broken by school security for dropping cake on the floor.

Turns out it was a lie at least the broken arm part, "Mervin's doctor told Eyewitness News that the results of their examination on her wrist indicated no fracture." also the guard has been cleared of charges.

This is just parts of the same video I just watched. Is it just me, or does it seem like someone just wants people to THINK she was lying. I mean, if there were really information proving she was lying, don't you think BadCase would have shown that, instead of just posting pieces of the original video and changing the title? @Bommelmensch My comment clearly says that doctors are not allowed to release results. There is a difference in saying, "I did not treat X on that date," and "X does not have a fracture." Doctors cannot disclose this information to REPORTERS. While the law compels disclosure to the court, personal med info cannot be released to reporters w/o consent. And if I were representing this girl, I would argue that he's not even allowed to say whether or not he is treating her under HIPPA.

@TallGordonNEm Actualy in the case of a false accusation, you have to release information about a patient, if that false accusation, by that patient, fakes the doctors exam and violates the rights of another person. The correcting statement by the doctor may only contain the denial of the fake exam the patient is claiming.
