CNN YouTube Debate--Tax Cut

This is Naoko Ueshima from University of Georgia. I have a question for Fred Thompson who supports the lower taxes. Although you support the lower taxes, I think taxes are very important to support our lives and satisfy our needs. Taxes are used in various purposes including social security, education, Medicare, health, and so on. Especially, taxes play great roles to maintain a good national security. For example, the taxes are used to strengthen the military, army, and marine to protect our country. In order to be well prepared for the international threats or terrorisms, like 9.11, the government needs our money. How would you accomplish making our country well prepared for such threats by lowering taxes which will make the government poorer?

apparently CNN is in the business of indoctrinating young college students into thinking that conservative ideas are bunk. Well, I'm not surprised. But I feel bad for her when she gets old enough and realizes that she was lied to.

I don't know if we need to cut taxes more than we already have, but we sure as hell don't need to raise them. By lowering taxes the government actually made more money, because of the positive effect low taxes have on the economy. obviously raising taxes would have the opposite effect: the government would actually get less money. The democrats who want bigger government and the republicans who want more economic fredom should be on the same page with this one.

Hells Yeah! And can you believe that Romney actually called Democrats the 'Big Spenders' in one of his campaign commercials?! To win the debate on which party has spent more, just bring up the $4,000,000,000,000.00 in debt we are to China because of Bush, who Romney undoubtedly voted for.

Well the answer is that you cut government waste and also unnecessary government programs that businesses can do better, at a lower price and respond better to people's desires for service.

What if we had to pay taxes for a search engine? Would it match google or be free? Has any government program done better for less than the private section? Education? Mail? Healthcare? That answer isn't government or taxes in a lot of cases
