rr did have jobs, florida wants him when m is done with him, alabama wanted him for this year, no choach, specially not his high-profile ass is out of options when they get fired, thats just pain obvious with 500 ball teams nation wide im the one who called the threats bs i know what the ncaa rules are, i know 20hrs a week is fantasy island at that level, and i'm not defending him for forcing his players to cheat or sit ALL I want to know is, why do teams like to hire him if he's a shit coach
I already told you that Mich. didn't come looking for him...his agent got hold of UM Pres. and AD after Miles and Schiano said no to the job. He had secret meetings with them and they hired him....it's not like the whole NCAA is trying to hire him, especially after running UM into the ground. As far as the rules go...maybe you need to have a talk with the NCAA and tell them your thoughts........
my biggest question for people in the know only is, if RR is such a shit coach, why does he always have a job at a top school just waiting for him? a bunch of good teams want a piece, was it WVU that gave him the rep he has? cause even if the fans think he's a ad coach, all his employers think he's best in the biz (especially for the discount price - cause he's under fire now)??
why will RR always have a sick coaching job? dont tell me he wont, cause we know he will, just tell me why that is?
1st..RR doesn't have a "top school" just waiting for him..his agent contacted UM after Miles and Schiano turned the job down...He is mid-level coach at best...what is his present record? 2nd...the threats were BS made up by RR and was invetigated and found false.... 3rd...It's not that they practiced over 20 hrs/wk..it because he made it mandatory to do so, or they wouldn't play..plain and simple....which is against NCAA rules... lets see how popular he is after UM shitcans his ass......
and as for the "threats", what a bunch of bs, still scary for a father though, what if? who could love RR? only his mother, but hey, you dont need to be a good human to be a great coach, so why act like he's the only cheater? call a spade a spade and call coaches rule-benders/smashers, 20 hours of practice a week? c'mon, anybody here ever actually played the game? I Blame the NCAA for having wacked out regs and priorities, hate the crooked game not the player who gets caught cheating
He wont stick around MU for long, just went their cause they might let him cheat a little more than WVU would. He's in the bad books now so MU has to tighten up on him, still pay him to keep him happy though! emotions aside, I dont cheer for MU or WVU, so from a neutral perspective, RR's a competitor who knows what it takes to win in NCAA, and fyi, what it takes to win aint pretty. He's a snake, and a cheater, and thats what it takes - sorry, he is a good coach for either school no denying it
RR is a dickhead dont mistake me for a michigan fan, but if he's the only rule-breaking, value-maximizing, victory-obsest greedy coach in big-time college ball, I'll eat my words. He's the latest to get caught, do in part to breech of buyout contract and the subsequent media targeting WVU fans I hear ya, but it is objectively tough to crucify a competitive guy trying to win games. face it, 90% of teams don't cheat, the other 10 go to bowlgames
WVU fans (not all - just most) : I do feel for yall, you lose a good head coach and an 80's legend of a mountaineer and it hurts - but let me ask you, what would YOU do if the school you gave Football to only let the players practice/train/workout/study plays and video (cumulatively) for <20 hrs/week?
thats a practice a day no weekends, you can't compete with that lack of comitment
then...when you do the right thing and give the players the time on the field...WVU sues you for 4 mill.
WTF are you talking about ? The practice time is against NCAA RULES....and the $4M was in his contract...he was the one trying to weasel out..WVU just wanted their buyout that HE AGREED TO. Doesn't seem to help UM with the extended workout times does it? All other colleges seem to do fine without breaking rules....Face it, RR just sucks as a big school coach..needs another White and Slaton to make him look like a genious....but he can always point a finger at someone else and cry on TV...
