What a wonderful interactive pet he has been! Always wanting to be included, he was very social and very friendly. He lived at least 5+ years and that is significantly longer than a domestic pet turkey usually lives. We enjoyed his companionship thoroughly and this is a little tribute to a very sweet bird. Friendship comes in all forms!

thanks for your comments. We still miss Brandon tremendously. Yes, i made an error in the description. He was 8 at least. He died of old age. He had a stroke, we tried steroids and antibiotics but the vet said nothing else could be done. I bought him all his favorite things...corn, grapes, salad, pears.....he had a feast! Because he could not walk, I took him to our vet who gave him a sedative & another shot & he died peacefully in my arms. He is buried here on the farm where he loved to roam!

yes he was a pet for more than 8 yrs. he was wonderful! He would follow us all around the property and he loved company!!!!!
