@mikethebeast1012 ok so in your arguement you meant the camaro... the v6 camaro has 300 hp but 0-60 in 6.1 seconds and the 09 wrx for instance 0-60 in 5.1 seconds I am not argueing that jap cars are better or american cars are better... There is just no way that you V8 guys can say our numbers cant match yours. my daily driver is a 93 hatch with a jdm d15b in it 1.5 liter motor makes 130 hp and 0-60 in 7 sec a 96 gt mustang is a 4.6 and makes around 220 hp and 0-60 in 6.8??

@desertls1 True, the weight is all in the front. That is what the Z06 lacks. But if the engine was in the back the take will be better...

I dont know where you got your figures from but the evo and wrx both make 280hp factory. That is the jap power limit. Both these cars can easily make over 320hp with factory turbo and exhausts. I own a nissan gtir and with thr only mod being a $10 boost tap i ran a 12.8 @ 112 Thats good performance for whats done if you ask me, not to mention i only paid 3 grand for the car!

@paul22va i never mentioned a rustang, i used the camaro as an example. i agree power/weight yes ive heard the honda argument many times and its true but the weight difference is not as dramatic as you male it sound, on top of that the V8 Camaro even gets better highway fuel economy than both the EVO and STI, again the WRX cost is close to that of a V8 model with the STI costing even more, i have great respect for EVOs, STIs, but the fact is for the money you cannot match V8 performance stock

@mikethebeast1012 You keep saying numbers... what is the 0-60 on that v6 mustang?? about 5.6 when the wrx is about 4.8 ?? hmmm just cause the hp is higher doesnt mean anything man it is all about power to weight a car can have 1000 hp but if it weights 9999999999 pds its gonna be slow ha get what im saying

of course a bigger motor is going to output higher hp out of the factory but if it isnt getting to the ground and down the road it doesnt mean shit

@paul22va i know exactly what im saying, i said for the price and that is the part you must have missed, the WRx makes like 265hp for $25k, where as the v6 Camaro makes over 300hp for $22k, and the EVO and STI cost more than $30k and make less power than the v6, the price of a base model v8 Camaro is $30k and it makes 426hp. so again as i said before no stock 4cyl can match v8 #s for the price

and obviously if you put a few thousand into the civic you could make it faster than the vette in 1/4 mile, but if you put the same amount of money into the vette and spend it on a supercharger, cams, ect., it would rape the crx..once again!
