In this video, we'll take a look at my 10 favorite effects in the Korg Mini-KP. I'll also explain how each effect works in brief.
The effects are:
02 BPF
14 Isolator & Distortion
16 Jet (manual flange)
17 Manual phaser
26 Decimator
67 Reverb 2
72 Grain Shifter
78 Vinyl Looper
79 Backspin Looper
98 Noise Synth
Drum loop is self-created with the Korg Kaossilator.

I came here to see if it had a certain effect I wanted (I thought it was grain shifter, but it turned out to be vinyl looper), but I also ended up learning a lot about how some effects are made. Great video.

hey man does the mini kp have a beat roll effect like the one on pioner's djm series or like on traktor???

Hi, as far as I can tell there isn't really an effect on the MiniKP that works like that.

can the mini kp sample/sequence stuff? i.e. create loops from your source audio the way i understand the real deal kaoss pad to be able to?

The MiniKP CAN sample, but not as powerfully as the Kaoss Pad.
The MiniKP samples 4 continuous beats. You can manipulate that loop based on 10 presets. But you can't record a new loop without destroying the first, ie there is only one bank of audio.
So you can do much less with the miniKP compared to the actual kaoss pad.
