Sea Level Rise Opportunities
Future Water Proof Corporation (FWPC) is a venture-capital backed enterprise embracing the challenges of climate change, and in particular rising sea levels, through the implementation of Global Warming Utilization Management.
FWPC sees the future rise in sea levels as an opportunity to maximise business growth, while at the same time improving the lives of everyday city-dwellers.

The climate changed a lot in the past, before any hu-mans were around - why? You don't know? I thought as much.

@repcs1981 You actually believe your bullshit? Amazing. Global warming is not a "b.s" it's a proven scientific fact. In case you don't believe me, you can do simple research or stop watching fox news. It's that easy.

NEWS:
Methane Releases from Arctic Shelf May Be Much Larger and Faster Than Anticipated
NSF - March 4, 2010.
Research results, published in the March 5 edition of the journal Science, show that the permafrost under the East Siberian Arctic Shelf, long thought to be an impermeable barrier sealing in methane, is perforated and is starting to leak large amounts of methane into the atmosphere. Release of even a fraction of the methane stored in the shelf could trigger abrupt climate warming.

Hey dude whaty software did you use for your flood model, was it ArcSecne by any chance ?

eclesticshaman:
1. Ice has less density (=more volume) than water. Thats why freezing ice explodes bottles. Therefore ice is lighter than water.
2. Your "ice-caps" are already in the sea.Called "shelf-ice". This wont rise sea levels (about 0.5 mill. km3 in total).
3. The land-ice (about 40 mill. km3 in total most of it in Antarctica) is another story. If this melts, it will rise sea levels (70m), because its not in the sea and therefore adds water to the oceans when it melts.
Understood?

its meant to be 60 meters

Right Einstein, just remember most of these flooded areas will then be frozen after succesions of turbulant weather, so wont be like Venice, it will be more like legos in a cooler in back of your pick up truck
Former U.S. Vice President Al Gore warned hundreds of U.N. diplomats and staff on Thursday evening about the perils of climate change, claiming: Cigarette smoking is a "significant contributor to global warming!"
While it's true that cigarette smoke contains carbon dioxide, it's in very small amounts, and a drop in the bucket compared to the daily breathing of six billion humans.

Well, let's think about this one. The carbon in CO2 from cigarettes was converted by tobacco plants from C02 originally in the air, so you'd think it would have a net zero effect on the overall C02 levels in the atmosphere when you burn it. Same with breathing, since we're breathing out carbon that we took in from plants or from animals that ate the plants. But, if forested land is being cleared to plant tobacco, that would be cause for concern.

the real question is why we are allowed to feed this junk to children. Global warming is another b.s. propaganda for means of population control and our freedom. Global warming is a matter of opinion, not fact. Weather changes has been happening for thosands of years. More deaths = good. Katrina. how slow can you respond. Remember Martial Law was imposed in New Orleans. Dont give up your rights to bear arms, guns = freedom. You want the truth? google HAARP and watch ?v=GzazIMyDmD8

According to the vast majority of climate scientists, global warming is as much a fact as scientific concensus gets -- the nice thing about science is that it's open to being questioned and leaves room to change. But the evidence -- changing ecosystems and melting icecaps -- seems incontrovertible. More deaths=good? If that's how you feel, I can't do much to reach you. Perhaps the rest of us had rather try to help our all of our society thrive than to just grab what we can and protect our own.
