The rise of new media

Mainstream media is struggling to stay afloat and the way they report the news will have to change to stay current with peoples attention spans. As more people turn to social media like Twitter or Facebook to get their news, the media and the way people absorb it has changed forever.

@Photosareawesome internet is as polarized if not more polarized then tv, the only difference is that in tv you change the chanells, on internet you change the webpage, the crap that both show keeps manipulating the minds of the dumb. What they call traditional media is better understood as Corporate media. Media in the hands of corporations. It used to be that at least some newspapers were ran by workers, producers.

I quit watching TV about 2 years ago. Considering the I'm generally about 5 years ahead of the mainstream, figure the majority of the population will quit watching by 2013.

TV will never die. If anything it'll evolve into internet tv (Internet tv on your... tv) and holographic newspapers and whatnot.
