Davis Grann, staff writer for The New Yorker, recalls the journey of British explorer Percy Fawcett who went missing in the Amazon rainforest in 1925 while searching for the supposed lost city of El Dorado. Mr. Grann recounts the subsequent explorers who ventured into the Amazon in hopes of finding El Dorado and the peril they faced. This event was hosted by the National Geographic Society in Washington, DC.
Read the book. Loved it! Amazing chronicle of TWO great men - Fawcette and Grann.
