With a population of 100 million and with an estimate of only 38 million members employed, the Philippines is the 12th most populous and is among the poorest countries in the world. Add to this information, Filipinos rely mostly on imports to feed themselves. Our main staple is rice but Filipinos are incapable of producing enough rice to feed its entire population. The Philippines is in fact the number one importer of rice because of Filipinos’ addiction to the grain.

I have only been to Luzon in the PInas, and I found Cavite to be worst polluted and in very high poverty. Where were these pics taken?

corruption, communist infestation of the government, false separation of church and state, dumb government officials, culture of crab mentality, uncontrolled overpopulation, etc did this to philippines

Poverty and corruption are undeniably present here in the Philippines but

Filipinos should accept that these fact should be accepted as a challenge to be a better off nation.

In fact, our Philippine constitution is so good that exposing the realities of life here can be possible, we are lucky that our government don't need to hide poverty.

anyway, HIDDEN POVERTY is prevalent in some of developed nations , AND in those nation who regards highly on their country in an arrogant way.

..I would agree that our goverment could be blamed for what is happening to the Philippines, part the goverment's role in build a nation is only partial. We all should join together to bring about changes in our country, starting from the highest part of the society to the lowest of all people. Have we accomplished this, only then we could start a change!
