Early development fun with the Palm Pre, to enable developer mode go to the cards view, and type in upupdowndownleftrightleftrightbastart. You will be prompted to enable developer tools.

  • Nope - the reset after enabling dev mode does not get rid of anything. You're safe doing this procedure.

  • what are the advantages of this or the developer tools?

  • This allows you to access the underlying Linux operating system the phone uses, so you can program applications like the time-lapse camcorder, and camera modifications you see in my other videos.

  • KONAMI CODE!

  • should the phone have to be activades with some carrier like at&t for enable developer mode?

  • there is an easier way 2 do it. just go 2 the main screen and type webos20090606.

  • @raisinbrann Thx. this helped.

  • there is an easier one what is it

  • dude he means spell it out the words upupdowndownleftrightleftrightbastart... some IT expert

  • all you have to do is open the cards view (you don't have to be a rocket scientist to know what that means) and then you type in up down and so on

  • If you're an IT expert, you must be a shitty one. You clearly don't own a pre (or have never used the one you do have), can't follow instructions, and are needlessly bitter and rude. Also, what ARE cards is the preferred (and by preferred, I mean correct) usage in English.

  • IT expert? It's that simple, just type upupdowndownleftrightleftrightbastart, please dont make real IT experts look bad.

  • He means you actually type in "upupdowndown..." etc on the keyboard,... lol TYPE it IN the keyboard... as he said.. there are no up down keys... lol... and you can do it from the main screen.
