This is a song written by Jay Ungar in 1982. Recently, I was introduced to this song through my history class. Ashokan Farewell is an extravagantly elegant piece that is beneficent to my ears. I would imagine that most others would feel the same.

  • This was the piece of music played at my 13 year old cousin's funeral by one of her friends on the violin, and it has stayed in my heart since then. It is beautiful and will remind me forever of my beautiful cousin who was like my little sister, thank you for uploading this, it is a lovely version of it :)
