  • To ihazkittens: I'm very sorry you are living alone with your pain. I strongly encourage you to seek out a counselor/therapist to speak to about the transgender issue. Without help, this can become an overwhelming and depressing preoccupation. It would be best to find someone who understands this issue. For comfort and information, go online and find the GBLT associations. Maybe they can help you in your area. Oh, by the way, stay away from over the counter medications. Unknown bad effects.

  • For those of you who enjoyed the video, here is the back story to its development. Originally, he contacted me for a story on ADD as a "made up disorder". During the course of the 45 minute interview, he concluded that, in fact, he had had many of these symptoms since childhood. I encourage him to seek an evaluation and voila...he had ADHD. Now, with understanding and successful treatment, he uses his talents "to get the word out" about ADHD. His video has prompted others to seek help.

  • Well, folks, you'll notice we have more comments from people who feel their point of view is legitimate if they just yell profanity at us. As I have written before, I leave these posts for all to read and decide if this is a person you'd want in your life. When I teach psychiatric resident physicians at Johns Hopkins, I tell them "When people speak, they reveal something personal. The question is 'Do you have the secret decoder ring?'" So what are these people so angry about?

  • As to the UK, Phillip Asherson at the Institute of Psychiatry, London is an expert in adult ADHD. I don't know if he is seeing new patients but his office may know a network of experts in England. Good Luck.

  • Thank you for taking your time to post your comments. I read each one of them. I am amazed at how many people view the video and get a "Duh" moment of "Gee, that sounds like me since I was a kid." Unfortunately, many with ADHD/ADD don't get identified in childhood because they aren't disruptive or hyperactive. Only later in life, when demands exceed the ability to compensate, do things fall apart. Often those around you don't understand and think you're just lazy or stupid. Please get help.

Hes sooo right about the schoolwork thing.

I was diagnosed with SEVERE ADHD Not ADD but ADHD(The little H makes a big difference.) and right now I'm supposed to be doin an essay thats due tomorrow mornin at school.

And I haven't been doin research and actually have to turn it in online as soon as I finish.

    All I can say is...

    Oops.

    XD

  • watch?v=TTeagW1XONI

  • People say I have add. I think that I HA-OMG A BIRD!!!

  • I think I have ADD. I lose attention easily and I don't pay attention to any shows I watch so I turn the channel cause I get bored and so I go on YouTube ._.

  • As far as focusing on something, reading a book, or studying for a test, forget it...

Funny thing is, I can do things that some people can't, like being able to speak in a different language just by listening ( with almost a perfect pronunciation) I can play almost every musical instrument ( or figure it out) very quickly ....

  • I am 43 years old now, and I never had a chance to get diagnosed with ADD as a kid.

I pretty much learned to live with my symptoms by thinking I was stupid, but now, thanks to your video I have a pretty clear idea of my problem.

I have trouble to concentrate myself on something, I cant remember things even a day after. and people often say to me "Please pay attention this time" I guess my question is WHATS NEXT...?

  • props on the hot girlfriend.

  • Thanks for creating this video! I really enjoyed it. The more exposure this disorder gets, the better. Too many people think it's not real, but who in their right mind would want to live this way if they didn't have to? I pray those who have yet to be diagnosed do eventually come around to seeking help. I have severe ADD-PI, and seeking help is the best choice I ever made. I'm a better mother with treatment, and I don't feel depressed and guilty all the time anymore.

  • Is this a fucking joke? If you can't focus on something 100% that doesn't mean you have ADD. What a fucking bullshit video I bet this guy just wanted some drugs and/or an excuse for his laziness.
