In earlier years, Pinetar had done the slide and always stayed in the main channel. On both of these attempts, he bounced out, was out of control, and couldn't figure out why. One theory is that the lower than normal water flow had something to do with it. Other theories include a break in the space-time continuum -- it's been rumored that Pinetar, a physicist, has been meddling with nature's law of the punch bowl. Interestingly enough, the devil has not been indicted in any of this - yet.
