Locked-in syndrome patient Tony Nicklinson's first Tweet | Dispatches | Channel 4

A locked-in syndrome patient has tweeted for the first time. It is believed to be the first time ever a patient with this condition has tweeted using special eye movement technology.




Tony Nicklinson, who seven years ago had a major stroke that left his body completely paralysed, but his mind unharmed, tweeted the simple message:

@TonyNicklinson Hello world. I am tony nicklinson, I have locked-in syndrome and this is my first ever tweet. #tony

The moment was captured by Channel 4 Dispatches ahead of a programme which broadcasts next week (Monday 18th June at 8pm) about Tony's life and his forthcoming landmark court hearing, which will directly consider for the first time the question of euthanasia -- where a doctor is authorised to take the life of a patient.

anyone else suspect he was killed here i mean a day or 2 after loosing his case a physically healthy man with 20-30 years predicted to live, suddenly dies after losing his case i dont think so, im happy he got his wish, but someone has had a hand to play in this !

yeah i know but im surer someone told him how he could go on his own, there is no way a physically healthy guy who had at least 20 years would just die like that straigh after loosing his case, with no police investigation even under such suspicious circumstances just makes the suspision even more !

Not sure if troll or not... Your channel is full of god speech and stuff so you may be serious. But we arent talking about religions or is god real - we are talking about this man suffering and I can't even imagine what he's going through every day. He has a good reason and I dont understand why people are mad at him for wanting to die.
