yes they are govermant run they are crewed by EMTs & Paramedics There are three voluntary St. John British Red Cross, St Andrews There are also private ambulances both prvt & voluntary do events & contract work for the govermant ambulances . Both prvt & voluntary use firstaider EMT nurse paramedic & Doctors

I just put in an OPA on a code this past Tuesday - it went in pretty smoothly.

I volunteer with an ambulance service based in New York City called Hatzalah Volunteer Ambulance Corp. It's run by the Jewish community, but it assists anyone requesting medical help.

In the UK, are ambulances run by the government? Do volunteer groups exist in the UK?

A LMA is a Laryngeal Mask Airway
Its mostly used in anasthetics
but they are also used in the prehospital setting. The only airways that i can use over hear in the uk is OPAs, NPAs & LMAs
What work do you do ?
