Here's Part 2 of a complete edition of the TV 2 News at 6pm on WBBM Channel 2 with anchor Bob Wallace. Also featuring John Callaway and Christopher (Chris) Wallace. Includes:

Bob introduces a report by John Callaway about a hearing conducted by the Illinois Legislature's Insurance Subcommittee at the uptown center of Hull House, on the high fire insurance rates for slum buildings; speakers featured in this report include attorney Fred Cohen and Maryilou Hedlund, Alderwoman of the 48th Ward

A fire in a 16th floor apartment in the Chicago Beach apartments at 4800 South Chicago Beach drive injures two elderly women and causes an estimated $15,000 in damages; a clip of the building and the smoke coming from the apartment in question is shown; the women are in fair condition at Billings Hospital

United Farm Workers picket Jewel Food Store on 26th and Pulaski Road, protesting Jewel's purchase of non-union lettuce and grapes; film clip of protest is shown; Bob quotes Marcos Munoz, UFW's Illinois director, calling this the first in a series of such demonstrations

Bob introduces a report by Christopher (Chris) Wallace about a group of Southwest Side residents and community groups holding their own meeting at the Ford City Shopping Center over a city plan by real estate developer Harry F. Chaddick that they fear might destroy their neighborhood; Chris walks through a street with local businesses that would be affected by his plan to build another shopping center; shots of Ford City and a mall are shown, as are some parts of the meeting with Chaddick speaking with the residents; Bob then speaks with Chris in the newsroom about the meeting and Chaddick's plans to build 15 shopping centers, and how once they're built, it's too late to stop them

Bob then reports on the White House blasting as "distorted" a Chicago Sun-Times report claiming that the Defense Department and Henry Kissinger tapped each other's phones in 1971; the report mentioned Kissinger wanted a tap on then-Defense Secretary Melvin Laird's phone

Long shot of newsroom with super text: "More News ...In a Moment"

Commercial: Man, Myth & Magic Magazine - "The Most Unusual Magazine Ever Published" (voiceover by Paul Frees)

About The Museum of Classic Chicago Television:

The Museum of Classic Chicago Television's primary mission is the
preservation and display of off-air, early home videotape recordings (70s
and early 80s, primarily) recorded off of any and all Chicago TV channels;
footage which would likely be lost if not sought out and preserved
digitally.  Even though (mostly) short clips are displayed here, we
preserve the entire broadcasts in our archives - the complete programs
with breaks (or however much is present on the tape), for historical
purposes.  For information on how to help in our mission, to donate or
lend tapes to be converted to DVD, and to view more of the 3,700+ (and
counting) video clips available for viewing in our online archive, please
