Okay, I'm a theorycrafter myself and I have noticed not a single pyromancer has addressed the issue of the tier 4 talent Burning Bright in their tutorials. I know that RIFT encourages you to hybrid spec as much as possible, but assuming you go the minimum 31 points into the Pyro tree, then you are losing a SOLID, PASSIVE 24% damage (20 missing points x 1.2% damage to ALL fire spells) due to Burning Bright. How does Int Elems compare with 50% damage for only 15 secs every 2 minutes??

How come you use Pyromancers Armor instead of Fire Armor?

how would a mage with basic gsb/ros gear and a few pieces of t3 hit 10k cinder bursts?

@galen , also intensify elements, internalise charge before starting the aoes gives them a hell of a kick, especially when stopcasting Fire Storm.

@austin, personal preference really, both are raid viable.

The beauty of this build is the burst potential, intensify + heatwave & charge is pretty sick. In terms of overall dps sc/ele beats it, but sc/ele is certainly not the only raiding build.

I don't think countdown in the macro rotation is a dps increase. Use when moving for sure ;)

Only one comment to make:

Pyro can do comparable AOE DPS as long as you are Pump casting Fire Storm. It's a lot more Mana Intense (unless you've got Smoldering Power charges still active).

Pump = Re-cast the aoe after the 2nd tick. If timed properly it will give you a Double "tick" of the aoe.

As of 1.2 you need to use a stopcasting macro to make that work

I have tried this spec, it seems like its more DPS when you dont include ignite or countdown in your rotation. What do you think about this?

And also, this spec doesnt seem to be able to keep up with SC/ele on single target bosses anyway?
