The stop would only have been legal if they had probable cause to the effect of her driving without a license. The Policeman admitted that she was not being accused of any wrongdoing.

The U.S. constitution is the law of the land and overrides any authority of government. (Thats its purpose, to protect against tyranny)

It was the police officers who were breaking the law. They committed high treason against the United States.

Sad that you have to tell yourself that you're right.

Police ARE allowed to set up checkpoints if allowed by the state and follow certain requirements to make them "reasonable" and hence not violating the Fourth Amendment. One main requirement is that officers may not use their judgement to decide whether to stop someone. The other main requirement is that the checkpoint be narrowly focused toward an acceptable purpose, such as sobriety, immigration, drivers' license, etc..

Just because something is allowed by state of federal law, in no way means it cant violate the constitution.

Examples: Gun confiscations after hurricane Katrina, the patriot act, taxes, a good number of laws against peaceably assembling, the list goes on for awhile.

So, that's one vote in favour of a complete police state ?
In the bright world of tommorow, with security cameras on every street corner, and military men in the streets, i bet you will feel safe!

Was it found to be illegal? Was the evidence from the stop admitted?

Then I do know it was a legal stop, because it was ruled as such by the relevant court.

Searches of a vehicle after the driver has been removed from the vehicle and secured elsewhere ARE illegal. Read the U.S. Supreme Court decision Arizona v. Gant.

As for the legality of the stop, the history of the justice system is littered with cases where lower cases ruled a stop was legal but higher courts ruled it illegal. Having a lower court rule something as legal does not MAKE it legal. It just establishes an overturnable result.
