I know tone is personal just as what foods does one like the taste of, but those RAINS brand name guitars are the ones that really make my jaw drop. Seriously David; I hang out in Nashville and used to listen to John Huey up close and You 2 have the same magic in common, There's a double neck Raines I see you play and has that "MAGIC" bottom tone that haunts the whole rage of melody like a Ghost standing over your shoulder, It sends Goose bumps up my arm. I'm retired Steeler from Sonny Martin.

I listen to this often! It's wonderful - he found all the "nooks and crannies" in the music to put in his beautiful interpretation, and it is so smooth! A stellar performance!

I find it quite strange that a pedal-steel guitar player would shoot a video that hides all view of the pedals and leg action. I might as well be watching a lap-steel guitar performance. Thanks for nothing.

This is the first of your videos I ever saw, and it is SO SMOOTH and just WONDEFUL! After I saw it, I listened to it each day - it is a testament to musical perfection! As good as any Bach or Bartok rendition on piano (I was a classical fanatic and piano student in my early years and teens). This is a well-formed and heart-felt intrepretaion on this instument, common in the US, but mastered by YOU!

let me tell you guys something,, i listen to all kinds of music,,,mainly brootal ass metal and shit,,full of breakdowns shredding screaming and what not,,,,and i can still listen to this beautiful piece of music and appreciate it,,i love this stuff,...wish more people go listen as diverse things as i do c:
