@Ryoku75 True yes, but you forgot one thing, less weight on the car means less stress for the engine, which in fact means better Miles Per Gallon.

@initialmoe ive been too lazy to take it out, mainly because i dont have a garage to do it, id have to do it outside, and i dont know carbs very well, so that would be kindof risky, and also ive been just attacking it with carb cleaner every now and again, and sometimes use sea foam. but i might just end up switching it with a weber.. but everything is soo hard to find for this model, i might just swap the engine out eventually

Nope, my tercel never gave me any problems...just clean your carb and everything should be fine.
