I have only just come across Deepak Chopra. I don't know if his courses rip people off or not, or if it's a massive organisation run by unscrupulous people; surely though, there these are videos which anyone can watch, for nothing. If people who can afford it want to take a course well that's fine, but the rest of us can benefit a lot from watching the videos.

@Travelingboutique take the best of what works for you and make it your own. if this much structure bothers you.... go your own way. Many people fall asleep lying down. if you don't then great. The idea of I AM is to focus on a useful thing as I understand it. Do I Am one day and meditate on your future the next, RElax.

@Travelingboutique there is highly chance that you will go sleep than meditate. Laying down is not most preferred way of position unless you are doing casually before go bed or feeling shy as other waiting you.

I love to meditate so I enjoy these videos but I would like to know why he says dont lie down instead sit up....why? I feel much more relaxed lying down. why cross my legs? why? why do I say anything at all? why I AM? The dead sea scrolls say that we should be meditating on what we are to become. But how do we do this when we arent to meditate on the future? just would love to know if all these things we should do is another form of religious traditions which says if u dont do it this way....

@FrancoJason2447 Sure like I said I am not trying to push anything. In fact, I just looked at mindfulness meditation and its pretty awesome too, no mantra even. Just meditate its great for the mind and body.

@Italtopcop I have a problem with the high cost too, same with TM. I am no affiliate and when do research on TM I ran across NSR, Natural Stress Relief which is very similar and inexpensive.
I am a huge fan of Dr. Chopra and own all his books and listen to him weekly on the radio. I do however have one problem that disturbs me greatly. I have written to him several times to ask if his courses are so expensive does his foundation make an allowance for the poor to participate? All letters have been ignored. This is very disappointing. It is fine to make money on his gift but he should spread the wealth by helping the poor. I don't believe he does this based on the lack of response.
