  • I've used BUG in the past, but it causes slowdown. For a project that is so near my system's capabilities to begin with, IMO not a good move ;).

  • You should have definately accepted the stop trade request at 3:12. Not only would it have prevented the hit to your realtions with Augustus, but the deal you would have been cancellnig was Open Borders, which at this point is starting to become a bad idea to keep if you want to hedge off Montezuma's expansion (if you don't close your borders, he can just send settlers right past your frontier cities and effectively cut them off).

  • your' second city is a very strategic point, you could build one or two other in that landlock sea plus the barb city at the north, so you can build ships in future that can pass throuhg your second city to get to the ocean... let's see

  • At 2:01 you should have definately built that city where the AI suggested for you. If you had built there, your city would have been on a river, not destroyed a forest in being built, AND directly adjacent to BOTH the wheat and fish, allowing it to utilize both without a border pop (meaning you could have jsut begun straight on a granary and then a lightouse.

    Just because a city is on the fringes of your empire doesn't mean it can't grow very rapidly and be very lucrative...
