On Capitol Hill, Senate Republicans emphasize their opposition to health care reforms that would force individuals into a government-run plan. Senate Republicans want to take the time to develop health care reforms that empower patients and doctors, not Washington bureaucrats.

  • These guys are leeches feeding off of our tax dollars. We pay their salaries and give them the best health care available and what do we get?

  • On healthcare, this country SUCKS. In some states you cant even get coverage if you had a nessasary surgery like a C-Section pregnacy. And if you can get insurance from a private carrier, you are paying $600 a month for a family of 2 or maybe 3. The Insurance companies are raping this country. Get laid off of work, and good luck with COBRA, the biggest FRAUD of them all. Even a old Rep from CIGNA said that our healthcare is horrible. $5,000 dollars is NOT enough for a family of 4.

  • Republicans want more time to develop health care? They had EIGHT YEARS to come with something and didn't. Time to step off you old morons. Let sense take over.

  • Republicans cant stop the Democrats.its the democras fault they cant get it passed.thank God

  • Home health care is both more compassionate and more efficient. It reduces the likelihood a patient will be readmitted to a hospital by allowing her to heal in a more familiar setting

  • Republicans always promote the insurance takeover of health care, without actually saying it. Insurance-run health care has an insurance company bureaucrat standing between you and your physician, rationing your health care for profit - to enhance their bottom line. The insurance company bureaucrat decides what treatment and surgery you will have, Your physician has no say, it's up to the insurance company bureaucrat to decide.

  • 48 hours? In the hospital? I'm guessing she was on her back much of the time. Worst position ever, unless you're in water.

I've never defended big insurance. C-sections are necessary in some cases, but not most. C-sections ARE more expensive and you cannot do them in the privacy of your own home. Either way, your insurance company really doesn't care just so long as you always pay your monthly fee on time. The only time they do care is when they own the "preapproved" hospital.

  • Sorry, but you are wrong. Woman HAVE to get C-cections based on all sorts of things. It could be that the woman have digestion diabetes, all the way to, in my wifes case the baby was not coming out after 48 hours of labor. Yes, doctors do prefer c-cections because they are quick and they can see other patients, but c-cections ARE nessaary, and it does suck that insurnace companies know this, and chalks it up as a denial. For that, insurance companies are DEAD WRONG, Why defend big insurance
