@guitarguy940 It's a normal passenger train with an engineer, it's called the Auto Train because it carries you and your vehicle from Florida to Virginia and vice versa. It's a very fast, convenient, and low cost way to travel. I love it and do it all the time.
What is the deal behind these auto-trains? How do they work? What if ther eis a car or something up ahead and have to stop in an emergency or something?
One of the few Auto-Train videos I've spotted that had all three generations of autoracks: the original CN cars, the subsequent tri-levels and the Johnstown AVC's
05 was a bad year for the southern trains. CSX was doing track work all over the place that year and delays were insane. One time I sat in Virginia on the Silver Service for 3 hours while a freight in front of us stopped for something. Another time that year, a northbound Silver Meteor I was on picked up 4-6 hour delays in Florida alone. To top things off, Hurricane Katrina basicly killed the Sunset Limited that year.

Great camera angle on that one! looks like it passed under I-4 and part of it was probably still on the river bridge at the time.
