The joint proposal process in Ontario's electrical sector, which entails a no-strike no-lockout bargaining protocol, has been good for electrical workers in Ontario, says John Grimshaw, executive secretary-treasurer of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) Construction Council of Ontario.

20 years ago, bargaining rounds often started with electricians' strikes, according to speakers at the fifth bi-annual Construction Labour Relations conference, held recently at the Old Mill in Toronto.
