I'm originally from San Antonio, Texas (Fort Sam Houston) but lived outside of Washington DC when President Kennedy & Jacqueline lived in the White House. I remember wanting to go to the funeral when President Kennedy was killed. My father was in President Kennedy's funeral. Because he was in the military at the time. But instead, I end up watching the funeral on the television set at home. We did go to Arlington National Cemetary a month later to pay our respects.
