Maibell & The Misfires' first album includes 13 songs all written by the band. The music sounds tidy, snappy and energetic with Maibell's fresh, clear and soulful voice on top of everything. The lyrics deal with situations people end up in their lives, some of them exude joy and happiness while the others are filled with misery and heartache.

Maibell & The Misfires started out in early 2009 as bass player Mike Crack put into practice his vision of a rockabilly band fronted by a female singer. Mike got his long time bandmates Slim and KK to provide a solid backing for young and talented Maibell who had already been around many years in the Finnish rockin' scene, playing in beat-instrumental group Periferia...

There's plenty of rockabilly bands with male vocals. Female vocal is something different and refreshing in this kind of music. Tjis here is good stuff.
