  • wtf is that disc thing?

  • That would be the Future Retro Revolution synthesizer/sequencer. In this video we use it to play the XS.

  • The Revolution does a better job recreating the TB303 sounds, and has more features in the sequencer than the 777.

The 777 has the ability to produce a wider range of sounds.

So it really depends on your taste, and what you are wanting to do.

  • Notes can be accented by either MIDI velocity messages or external control voltages. The accent Sensitity control determines the point in which the velocity value or control voltage causes the envelopes to be accented or not.

  • The "UFO" is our Revolution synthesizer/sequencer. In this video we are using the Revolution's sequencer to play the XS.

  • The Revolution's sequencer is playing the XS. No sound is being generated by the Revolution in this series of demonstration. All sounds were recorded from the output of the XS ran directly into the audio input of the video camera.

  • This is the sort of musicial instrument that Darth Vader would use for his parties on the death star.

  • Not really. The most classic acid synth the TB-303 only had one osc. Mini Moog had three, but a three osc sound is so huge it's limited in what you can do with it, as it will usually overpower any other synth sounds you may want to mix with it, which is why the mini moogs also had the option of switching the third osc to a LFO

  • uber kool jam :) thanks so much for the demo

  • Futureretro have a very remarkable quality instruments, hope they keep it up.

  • awesome gear man...it's on my wish list!!

  • @DomiBabi3 I'm not saying that the mini is more limited, I'm saying that three osc sounds are limited. Making the third more of a luxury then a necessity.

The mini is an amazing synth.

  • @meltingpenguin

not reallly... the mini had a mix section where you could play it as a single osc synth.... saying that it is limited for having MORE oscs is kind of silly....

  • Damn, the XS sounds so thick. Great sound!

  • I've only had it for about a month, and I can honestly say that it is worth every penny and more. Aw, man I love my XS.

  • @sudnaidu hhahahaaha

  • Supergenial. Schleicht sich ganz behutsam rein, Knetet die Synapsen bis in die letzte Verästelung und man möchte es gar nicht mehr gehen lassen...macht Hunger nach mehr...muss ich haben ab jetzt, vielen Dank

  • the distortion @ 5:50 when he turns the resonance or distortion up is wow
