I have a 2011 mustang GT 5.0 with mods it has 627 hp. I pulled in behind an original Shelby w a 427 on the highway. He dropped hammer at 80mph and that car broke traction! I hammered it and ran with him till we hit 120 and he seemed to find another gear and left me like I was driving a Toyota Prius. I backed off and got off at the next exit and he pulled in by me and said nice GT but it will NEVER RUN W MY 427. Raw power. I would die to own the original. Be safe!

Really nice to see an original, 'narrow hip', Shelby Cobra still in it's original street trim. A lot of these ended up being converted to S/C spec with the wider fenders, pipes, quick-jack bumpers, and roll-bar. That was cool, but a street Cobra has a special look and a narrow hip is a really unique package.

I like how people use the term "overrun" instead of engine decel. I would think "overrun" would be more fitting to describe a situation where the engine rev limit is exceeded. I guess you've heard the big boys say it so now you must do the same.
