I walked over and opened it...it was a tiny closet..the walls were blank white with a black metal ladder leading up....and of course out of my little- child- inside curiosity I started to climb...and climb... and climb....it came up to a door which I opened then I led to a secret balcony.

Rachel: wow....
I came up and sat up their noticing all the little details, it was white and it looked old...I thought I had a sense of mystery...but... I then started to think about my dad then my life ... one single tear fell down my cheek.....the warm wind blew through my hair as I cried....I just couldn't get my thoughts to stop racing and it is like I couldn't shut up....then all off a sudden a I heard a voice

???: are you o.k.
I look up and look down and see Kevin standing there....

Rachel: what do you want?

Kevin: well I was up and I walked by my
window and saw someone and I thought I'd come over and check it out*smiles*

Rachel: well hold on I'll come to you....
I came down to see him standing by the tall shrubs and the piece of cra...I mean art.

Rachel: hey.

Kevin: were you crying*takes his thumb and wipes my tears*

Rachel: well yeah a little...it has kinda been happening a lot lately

Kevin: why?

Rachel: I don't know it's...I just don't know...*tears begin to fall again*

Kevin: hey don't cry*lifts my chin* it's all o.k.

Rachel: yeah easy for you to say....you don't have gay parents and stupid nannies and a dumb life... when you are expected to have the perfect body and the perfect smile and to live up to your parents
expectations....shit...they are so stupid

Kevin:*he grabs my arm and pulls me in for a hug and he just holds me...it felt so familiar...it was kinda like how my dad used to...it...was a funny feeling....it was like the feeling after you ride a rollercoaster and you are air logged and the rush is so amazing...when I was in his arms...I felt complete... for once in my life I felt..Happy...I don't know what to think but I never wanted this feeling to end...It felt like .....Love.....*

Kevin: *still hugging me* listen if you ever need me.... I am always right here

Rachel: thanks...*I hug him even tighter and
he hugs back*

All of a sudden a car pulls in my driveway...it was my parents and my aunt...drunk..again... but this time...it was worse...they were blow out drunk...my mom and dad were half naked and my aunt was just laughing her fat ass off.... Then my mom notices me in the bushes and she points.

Mom: daughter....*hiccup* come here....

Rachel: you better go...I am so sorry if I caused you and permanent damage

Kevin: yeah I am just gonna go home and sterilize my eyes*he leaves with one last quick hug*

I walk over to my mom and dad very slowly....with a ton of caution...I can tell they had been smoking something bad...I can smell it all over them...my mom's make up was smeared all over her face..and my step dad had lipstick on his neck..

Rachel: yeah....

Mom: *grabs my hair pulls it* you've been a very bad girl*breaths on me* you are a devil child and don't deserve to live.
Her breath smelt something fierce and I just stood there in shocked and I didn't know what was happening...either they had their senses knocked into them or I had the wrong parents...

Mom: do you hear me*pulls my hair closer* a very bad girl*pulls me closer to her face*

Rachel: yeah I can see that*I grab her skeleton hand and take it off my hair and smile sarcastically* at least I'm not the artard mom who is drunk and half naked...and probably pregnant...again...

She slaps me as hard as possible put she is so weak and thin, that it barley felt like anything...and of course I am used to it..... I just laugh at her... and start to walk away... of course she begins to yell at me in front of everybody and I just walk away from it...al I hear is blahblah blah blahblah blah....ha-ha...but yet part of me was shocked...she has never been this drunk before... I began to worry about my sisters...so I walked up stairs and made sure the door was locked and I fell back to sleep.

It was the next morning and I was the first on up as per usual...I walked down stairs and she my mom made it at least through the door and to the kitchen table...I don't know where my step dad was....my aunt was lying there on the floor in one of the huge living rooms. All I did was step over them and got some orange juice...then walked out to the through the front door to pick up the paper..I have to jump over puke and ... and.....eww.....I don't even know what that was...but I was at the end of the driveway when I see my step dad....naked......lying on the concrete......
