@153masterchief We still won in battle, the reason SV got overtaken was because of Communist propaganda influencing the American youth to lose public support for the war and thus, funding was cut and we withdrew because the politicians are fucking retarded. We should've just went straight into North Vietnam at the beginning and killed everything. But my point is, our military didn't get defeated like the French did in the first Indochina war. and those ww2 statistics are wrong...

@xXSgtWolfXx we killed more of them yes, but we still did not achieve our objective of preventing the takeover of SV. If you say the number of enemies killed is considered victory, then the nazis and japs won the war in ww2 as they killed 16 million allied soldiers and only lost 8 million of their own.

@153masterchief We won the Vietnam war by attrition. We killed more of them then they did us. It was a war of bodycount.

And once again, the maerican reenactors dont seem to take any hits. Out squating in the open with NVA putting lots of rounds their direction, and theyre bulletproof. Same happens in ww2 reenactments. Oh well, still pretty cool. Glad to see some numbers for the NVA side

Ask any american veteran, the arvn were one of the best fighting forces out there during the time.

@slimpickensusaf lol i love how everyone presumes your american, you could be NVA for all we know XD

I stand corrected. I must have missed that part when the announcer was speaking.
Thank you for the correction.

did anyone represent the arvn unit here?

No, this reenactment portrayed a US convoy being ambushed by NVA / VC units. The announcer before the show stated that when US soldiers in Vietnam were ambushed, they were trained to press forward. The GIs were not to remain were they were and become sitting targets.
It would have been great to have an ARVN unit portrayed there. Thank you for watching and taking the time to comment.
